Gardening For Better Sexercise

Published by Love2Lose Staff on

April is the perfect time of the year to get physical in the dirt and get more Sexercise at the same time.

It’s Garden Month and the spring weather is a warm invitation to get outside and prepare the soil to plant flowers, food, and everything in between.

If planting doesn’t turn you on, Garden Month is also a great time to spruce up your outdoor space for relaxation and entertainment — and that can mean bringing out patio furniture, putting up lights and bird feeders and setting up the BBQ.

You may not know it, but all that yard work counts as great exercise! As you squat, bend over, stretch, pull, push, and stand, you’re also getting great cardio, burning calories, and working big muscle groups.

At the same time, you can feed your body for better Sexercise by growing nourishing foods that can enhance your performance – in and out of the bedroom.

How To Celebrate Garden Month

Our team at love2lose.com wants you to embrace your love of gardening – and improve your sex life, fitness, and diet at the same time!

So, we’ve put together fun, easy tips to help you get the most out of Garden Month.

1. Get to work in your garden – whether you’re a newbie or seasoned pro

You don’t have to have a large garden (if you do, that’s great too). A small yard space can also produce a great garden, although you will need to be selective with what you choose to grow.

For people living in condos and apartments with limited space, start a container garden. Get your hands on a selection of plant pots and use them to create a potted garden on your balcony or windowsill. Popular container crops include: peppers, eggplant, tomatoes, beans, radish and cucumbers, parsley, rosemary, marjoram, basil, thyme and chives.

Gardening counts as workout that can help spice up your love life. Regular physical activity has been shown to ramp up libido and lead to better sex (Raglin & Wallace, 1995; Essomba et al., 2016).

That ramped-up sex drive can ignite a passionate romp in the garden where sex can count as an exercise move that burns calories and improves flexibility and strength.

Tip: Don’t forget to protect your hands with gardening gloves and use a sturdy garden seat or cushion to kneel on. And remember to drink plenty of water and wear sun protection.

3. Grow foods for better Sexercise performance

The food on your plate can have a big impact on your fitness and Sexercise. So, consider planting foods to improve your performance – in and out of the bedroom.
